2012 Drawcard Shiraz

James Halliday
Australian Wine Companion 2016 Edition

94 points — Fascinating. Has broken free of the usual Peter Lehmann mould, perhaps due to some Eden Valley fruit; a savoury framework establishes itself from the first sip, the medium-bodied display of purple and black fruits built on that framework, cedary oak also evident. A wine likely to lead to a second glass.

James Halliday
Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition

94 points — Vivid and deep purple-crimson; a seriously good wine competing in this high quality battlefield; it hits all the right buttons, with svelte black fruits ranging from black cherry to blackberry on the bouquet and medium- to full-bodied palate, where precisely weighted tannins and oak chime in.
