We caught up with some of the incredible super mums around our Barossa Valley winery ahead of Mother’s Day to see how they’ll be celebrating this special moment.

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day this year?
Hopefully vintage would have finished and we will head to the beach for the weekend – my absolute favourite place.
What do you love about being a Mum?
Gosh so many things but being surrounded by my girls every day is pretty amazing.
What makes you feel special on Mother’s Day?
A bottle of champagne and getting the oversupply of chocolates the girls love to buy!
What is your go-to Peter Lehmann wine to celebrate Mother’s Day?
Always so tough but I love a good sparkling wine during celebrations so the Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz will make an appearance for brunch.

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day this year?
Always celebrate at home with brunch surrounded by family drinking lots of sparkling, especially the Peter Lehmann Cuvee. Spoilt by my boys with pampering presents and lots of my favourite foods. No dishes for this mum! Just a glass in hand, with lots of laughter, perfect.
What do you love about being a Mum?
Very tricky question as we don’t stop enough to reflect, let me think…………with a huge smile it’s the proud moments of the child’s achievements. The realisation that we created this ‘mini me’ of ourselves, we influence him every day, his humour, skills, knowledge, caring nature all imparted by us. Those moments are special, my mum used to say it to me about being a mum, and it has a bigger meaning for me now.
What makes you feel special on Mother’s Day?
Until this year I haven’t seen myself as the ‘special one’ as it’s always been a family celebration through the generations, us celebrating my mum the ‘special one’. Without her this year we will still celebrate how special she is, just might need a few more bottles of bubbles.
What is your go-to Peter Lehmann wine to celebrate Mother’s Day?
Well that is an easy one, being an avid Riesling drinker, we will have the latest release of Portrait Riesling along with a nice vintage of ‘Wigan Riesling’ – perfect. A must throughout the day is a Peter Lehmann Sparkling Cuvee and Portrait Rosé is an absolute crowd pleaser.

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day this year?
I'm doing absolutely nothing. It's about the only day mums get off right? Actually I will be enjoying watching my husband take over all the mum duties!
What do you love about being a Mum?
Kids do the funniest things, I love that I get to experience that with them.
What makes you feel special on Mother’s Day?
When the kids make me breakfast in bed, it's definitely not 5 star, but I do love seeing how much they enjoying making it!

Barossan Grenache, always my fav!
